Dynamic Texture: The exterior is intricately decorated with hand-carved, horizontal wavy lines that create a sense of motion, separated by a unique “scaly” or pebbled texture that adds significant visual and tactile depth.
Substantial Form: Unlike previous shallow servers, this is a deep, sturdy bowl with a high rim, making it as functional for serving large meals as it is striking as a decorative object.
This piece is regarded as a second. There has been some subtile warping in the final firing. ( see photo) It is still functional, and oven, dishwasher and microwave safe.
